Skip was surrendered to the shelter due to no fault of her own. She is a sweet and friendly girl that can be a bit shy to start but she does warm up pretty quickly. Once she's warmed up she is pretty outgoing with people and loves to seek out attention and affection. She enjoys spending her time lounging in her bed. She is looking for a home with no dogs. She would likely do well with another cat in the home through a slow and proper introduction. She is recommended to a home with respectful children 6+. Staff are still getting to know additional details about Skip and her personality.Adoption processWe require potential adopters to fill out an pre-adoption application. If that application is approved, the dog/cat must be spayed/neutered before it leaves our shelter (if not already done). If it is a puppy under 4 months old, we allow it to go home with the adopters under a foster care agreement until it is old enough to be returned for spay/neuter. Kittens are allowed to leave before spay/neuter is done, but they must be done within a certain time frame.Fees: Dogs/puppies range from $150-300, depending on if they came in already spayed/neutered or if we paid to have that done. Cats range from $80 - $140, though we often have deals on older cats or cats that have been there a long time.Kittens are $60 with $25 refunded once it has been spayed/neutered.All adoptions include at least the first vaccination, deworming, de-fleaing, microchip ID, and 6 weeks of pet insurance.Shelter locationWe are located at 34 Wallbridge-Loyalist Road in Belleville.
